Who Wrote That? A Music Quiz

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of dining with a delightful group of music lovers who are regular listeners to Classical 101. As we chatted and ate, something one of them did reminded me of a famous Charlie Chaplin from his silent film The Gold Rush, in which he stuck rolls on the end of a pair of forks and proceeded to make them do a little improvised ballet, like a pair of oversized shoes at the end of some spindly legs.   One of my dining companions stated that Chaplin was a favorite of his, which prompted me to mention the music he had written.  His reply, "I didn't know Charlie Chaplin had written music" prompted me to revisit his music, written mostly for his own films.  The trailer seen above contains his most widely-known composition Smile, from the 1936 film Modern Times. When this quiz showed up, it offered several surprises.  See how you do, then let me know of other unlikely composers you have encountered. You can see that famous scene below.  You'll find the quiz here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoKbDNY0Zwg
