While being a conductor and a musician certainly has it's glamorous moments, there is a lot that goes unseen by the audience.  Rehearsals and practice are givens.  If you perform with or conduct numerous ensembles, travel becomes an issue. In my conversation with ProMusica Chamber Orchestra's Music Director David Danzmayr this week, we discussed some things which can make the itinerant life of a musician a little less "glamorous."
