The fourth season of Concerts @ Ohio State concludes this Sunday at 1 PM. We've presented eight weeks of concerts from the School of Music at The Ohio State University. My thanks again to Mark Rubenstein for the recordings, and to he students and faulty for these performances. The combined choruses and orchestra played and sang to the heavens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANbOm-BT1sE The Debussy Sonata with the Cosmos trio was a joy. Ed Bak and Juliet White-Smith were terrific in Britten Lachrymae for viola and piano, a tough piece to bring off. The Choral Ensembles gave us a fine performance of Britten's cantata Rejoice in the Lamb.  The OSU Symphony got the season off to a great start in January with Chabrier's Espana. The Wind Band's Carmen Ohio became the series theme. I'm told I mispronounced Joshua Michal's name but his performance of Mozart's E flat Horn Concerto is wonderful. The OSU Symphonic Band does dance music better than anyone else, with Tielman Susato in the 16th century or today. This list is incomplete. Students and faculty, you know I love you all.
