It's another evening under the stars as the ProMusica Summer Music Series continues at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens this Wednesday, August 7, at 8:00 pm.  This week, incoming ProMusica Artistic Director David Danzmayr will conduct Elgar's Serenade for Strings, the American Premiere of Three Welsh Songs by young Welsh composer and pianist Huw Watkins,  Manfredini's  Concerto for Two Trumpets in D, featuring ProMusica Principal Trumpet Tom Battenberg and trumpeter Timothy Leasure,  plus Mozart's Symphony No. 29 in A Major. The free concert takes place in the Conservatoryâs Grand Mallway gardens. All ages are welcome.  There are many ways to enjoy the performance.  You can bring a blanket or lawn chairs and a picnic meal, or contact ProMusica about a catered picnic. Bring the kids one hour prior to the concert and join ProMusica on the West Terrace for free music and garden inspired children's activities.  There is a charge if you wish to tour the conservatory.  You can find further information here, or at the conservatory website. What better way is there to spend a Summer evening than listening to beautiful music in a beautiful setting?  I hope to see you there!
