Our four-part series of Columbus Jazz Orchestra concerts concludes tonight on 89-7 NPR News with a concert called Piano Men. Tonight, it's Piano Men, as the CJO spotlights the music of Billy Joel, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. Columbus' Dave Powers sings from the piano and is joined by vocalist Chester Gregory to perform the hits of these masters of the keyboard. As if that's not enough, CJO Conductor Byron Stripling and crew then head to the Columbus Zoo for their 8th JazZoo season, which opens Friday, July 12th. If you've ever been to a live CJO performance, you know that the music is always top notch, high-energy, and full of surprises.  With Byron Stripling at the helm, how could it be anything but? So find a good seat on your patio, enjoy a cool beverage, and tune to 89.7 NPR News Friday night at 7 pm for âSwingin' with the CJO."
