If you were ever a mischievous little kid, then you know that doing something "wrong" can feel pretty good, at least until the proverbial boom gets lowered on your proverbial rascally self. Jerry Casey
This Saturday on The American Sound we'll explore some fun and beautiful musical works that do things the "wrong way" - and get away with it! We'll hear an orchestra piece by composer and Worthington resident Jerry Casey that "plays" itself forward - then goes in reverse. We'll also hear some stirring spirituals performed not by singers, but by stringed instruments. And we'll start celebrating St. Patrick's Day a day early, oh, the mischief!, with fun music by the composer who brought us The Typewriter - the incomparable Leroy Anderson. Let the mayhem begin! Join me for musical mischief on The American Sound Saturday at 6 pm on Classical 101!
