Guitar Maker in Tennessee Creates a 27-String Guitar

Andres Segovia once called the guitar "an orchestra in a box."  Its remarkable how much beautiful sound a good  musician can get out of one with just the normal six strings.  But what happens when a skilled luthier ups the ante and builds a guitar that dramatically increases the range of possibilities of this popular instrument? Keith Medley is a guitar maker in Tennessee who has built custom guitars for famous musicians, but he seems to have made the most elaborate one for himself.  He's created a 27-string instrument that he plays himself.  He has said that the hardest part wasn't actually building it but learning how to play it!
